Unmanned Vehicles, Air Land Sea

Unmanned vehicles (UVs) operates without a human pilot or crew on board. These intelligent machines are capable of navigating both remotely and autonomously. UVs are capable of perceiving their environment and making autonomous decisions.

We classify unmanned vehicles by their operating domain. Airborne navigation typically designates them Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). People colloquially call them drones. Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) handle surveillance or logistics. Maritime operations utilize Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). These vessels skim the water’s surface. Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) explore the ocean’s depths.

Accurate navigation presents the greatest challenge for UVs. They need precise position, velocity, and orientation data. This data is critical for safe movement and mission success. GNSS (like GPS) provides general location information. However, tall buildings or dense foliage block these satellite signals. Unmanned vehicles must maintain navigation during these inevitable signal outages. Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) solve this complex problem. INS uses gyroscopes and accelerometers to track movement. They provide continuous, reliable data independent of external signals.

We design high-performance inertial sensors for UVs. Specifically, Inertial Navigation Systems (INS) that offer compact and lightweight form factor. Consequently, these features make them ideal for size-constrained aerial drones. Furthermore, some versions of our products feature a dual-antenna GNSS, enabling robust heading. Ensuring centimeter-level position accuracy. Moreover, our sensors deliver high-accuracy GNSS/INS for surveying. Surveyors use this system for accurate point cloud geotagging. Additionally, they can be integrate easily with other autonomous system components.

We devoloped a post-processing software that refines collected data. These solutions ensure unparalleled autonomy and operational efficiency. SBG Systems empowers unmanned vehicles to perform critical missions worldwide.
