Our new Firmware for HPI is out!

We’re proud to announce the public release of Firmware 6.0 (v6.0.5585-stable) for Ekinox, Apogee, Quanta, and Navsight product lines. This is a landmark release, delivering long-awaited features and deep improvements across navigation performance, UAV capabilities, and system integration.

Firmware 6.0 introduces a reinforced navigation strategy tailored specifically for unmanned aerial vehicles. A brand-new Fixed-Wing UAV motion profile is now available, alongside full Air Data support — covering airspeed and barometric altitude. Beyond GNSS, users can now leverage external generic position and velocity inputs from sensors such as cameras, LiDAR, or radar, enabling richer, more resilient navigation architectures.

At the core of this release are new-generation sensor fusion algorithms that raise the bar for accuracy and reliability. The update includes a redesigned AHRS algorithm powered by external magnetometers, major improvements to the Vertical Gyro (VG) algorithm, and new motion profiles purpose-built for off-road vehicles and heavy machinery.

Firmware 6.0 expands interoperability with full support for external magnetometers — including in-product calibration — and native support for the Nucleus format from Nortek DVL. The alignment flag has also been revamped to more accurately reflect state convergence in non-RTK applications. Additionally, new CAN messages have been introduced, including GNSS heading baseline.

But there’s more. Firmware 6.0 is also a key enabler for dead reckoning, delivering the algorithm improvements and multi-sensor fusion capabilities needed to maintain accurate navigation when GNSS is unreliable.

Soon this update will reach our Ellipse products as well.
