Major High-Performance INS Firmware Update

Firmware Update: Ekinox, Apogee, Navsight, and Quanta Series

SBG Systems releases a major firmware update for all its high-performance Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), including Ekinox, Apogee, Navsight, and Quanta sensors. Developed in collaboration with our customers, this new firmware 4.0 brings many new features and significantly improves user experience for integrators and surveyors.

 

It aims to bring significant advantage in 2 areas:

  • System accuracy and robustness:
    • Enhanced Heading in Single Antenna to allow easier UAV survey operations.
    • Improved GNSS antenna Auto Lever Arm Calibration for a quicker and easier set-up of your system. This is extremely important for hydrographers with vessels of opportunity.

 

  • Easier system integration:
    • Brand-New PTP and NTP Features for Time Synchronization eliminating the need and cost of an external timing module.
    • Integrated NTRIP Client to ease access to NRTK/VRS correction services.
    • Logged RTCM Raw Stream to ease post-processing in Qinertia using your NRTK/VRS data.
    • New Access Rights Management System to set up specific user roles.
    • 2 added Serial output on Navsight and Quanta for advanced survey set-ups.
    • REST API now introduced for power users and integrators.
