Fugro Marinestar ® delivers high-precision GNSS positioning services tailored to the unique demands of industries such as marine construction, dredging, hydrography, naval operations, wind farm development, and oceanographic research.

Multiple GNSS constellations

One of Marinestar®’s key strengths is its global reach. It combines multiple GNSS constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou. Marinestar® transmits correction data through L-Band satellites and the NTRIP protocol. This approach supports compatibility with a wide range of GNSS receivers. The dual-channel system improves signal reliability and availability. As a result, it maintains robust performance in challenging marine environments.

Marinestar® also uses multiple redundancy layers to maintain reliable service. Its network includes two independent reference station networks. It also supports multiple receiver brands and dual Network Control Centers (NCCs). Additional backup facilities further strengthen network resilience. Moreover, Marinestar® uses multiple primary and backup uplink locations. Six L-Band satellites transmit correction data worldwide. This redundant architecture provides consistent and resilient positioning services across global marine operations.

GNSS corrections with Fugro Marinestar

Marinestar® offers a variety of correction services to match different operational needs. The G4+ service provides corrections for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo, while the XP3 service delivers corrections for GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo using an independent reference station network. Additionally, RTCM corrections are available for legacy receivers, ensuring precise and adaptable positioning solutions.
